A 39 year old lady has been awarded £33,000 for a leg injury compensation claim after she was injured during a Bon Jovi concert in the UK.  The security guard, who was injured whilst working at the Milton Keynes Bowl, successfully claimed compensation  for her leg injury after being run over by a golf buggy driven by a member of Bon Jovi’s tour crew.

Security guard, Sally Allen, was assisting in the evacuation of fans at a Bon Jovi concert at the Milton Keynes Bowl, when a golf buggy ran into her, fracturing her leg and crushing her foot.

Mrs Allen, a 39-year-old mother of two, settled for £33,000 in compensation after negotiating with Bon Jovi’s solicitors.

The incident happened as Mrs Allen helped evacuate fans after gas cannisters exploded at the concert. She had tried to stop the golf buggy, driven by Kevin McDonnell, travelling through the restricted no entry area. Mrs Allen claimed Mr McDonnell refused to accept that he could not pass through the area and deliberately drove at her with his buggy.  Mrs Allen attended hospital as a result of the accident. The full extent of her injuries were not correctly diagnosed until a second visit at a later date. Mrs Allen’s recovery was furthered delayed by a blood clot six weeks after the accident.

A spokesperson for Bon Jovi claim the band were unaware of the incident and advised that Kevin McDonnell was no longer employed by them.
